Via Kotaku, a Wall Street Journal video reports a super-large project underway at Simon Fraser University, headed by Mark Blair, Jozef Pisko-Dubienski, and Alexander Lee. I can’t seem to embed the video, so go ahead and watch. If you have any students who are avid players of Starcraft 2, please direct them to the Skillcraft project. The other studies referred in the videos are Jackson et al. (2012; Computers in Human Behavior) and some paper presented in conferences (I don’t count them). In the meantime, I’m looking straight into the abyss that is the end of the Winter quarter so don’t expect any regular posts in the next two weeks. Once the Skillcraft project generated some publications, perhaps they can expand into other genres for generalizability issues starting with OSU!
